Your online Recruitsec account allows you to review and update your personal information online by signing into your account where you can also edit your existing CV, remove or upload a latest copy of your CV. You can also choose to have your account deactivated or deleted which you can find the tools on your dashboard of your online account. After you deactivated/deleted your account, you will not be able to sign into our website or access any of your personal information. However, you can open a new account at any time. If you deactivate your account, we may still retain certain information associated with your account for analytical purposes and record keeping integrity as well as to prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, enforce our terms and conditions, and take actions we deem necessary to protect the integrity of our website or our users, or take other actions otherwise permitted by law. In addition, if certain information has already been provided to third parties as described in this Privacy Policy, retention of that information will be subject to those third parties' policies.

When you upload or create a CV, we store it in our CV and profile database in the U.K. You may control the status of your CV by setting it to visible or private. Visible CVs can be viewed by anyone with access to our CV and profile database. We cannot control the retention, use or privacy of CV that have been viewed or downloaded by others.

Private CVs will not be visible in our CV and profile database, but information we acquire about you from a public website may be visible. You may still use your private CV to apply online to a job. If you apply with a private CV, it will be transferred to the relevant employer, who may retain a copy of it.

We attempt to limit access to our CV and profile database to legitimate users but cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to this database. Once your CV has been disclosed, Recruitsec is not able to retrieve it from the third parties who accessed it. Therefore, you should not put sensitive information, date of birth, home address, personality profiles, or other information you would not want made public, in your CV or profile.

If your CV includes personal data of a reference, it is your responsibility to ensure that the person is aware that you have forwarded his/her details and has consented in writing for you to do so.

CV Security

Registering your CV to Recruitsec is an important part of the job-hunting process and could help you to be found for great roles. It is important that you provide enough information on your CV for recruiters to contact you. However, to ensure your online security, you should never include any of the following information in your CV:
